Hezbollah targets Israeli military position with 62 rockets

TEHRAN, Jan. 06 (MNA) – Lebanese Resistance movement Hezbollah has targeted an Israeli military's intelligence headquarters with 62 rockets on Saturday.

Zionist regime's media outlets reported that sirens sounded in tens of settlements in occupied Palestine on Saturday morning.

Zionist sources reported that sirens had been activated in 94 Israeli towns due to the possibility of drone infiltration and rocket fire.

Minutes later, a spokesperson of the Israeli regime's military confirmed the reports, saying that 40 rockets were fired at a military intelligence headquarters.

Issuing a statement, Hezbollah cited that it has fired 62 rockets toward the Israeli position in response to the assassination of Saleh Al-Arouri, Hamas deputy political leader.

In response to this attack, the Zionist regime targeted areas in southern Lebanon with an artillery attack.

The Israeli regime waged the war on Gaza on October 7 after Hamas carried out the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity in response to the Israeli regime’s atrocities against Palestinians.

The relentless military campaign has killed more than 22,600 people, most of them children and women. At least 57,910 Palestinians have also been wounded

Iran's progress not to stop with assassinating scientists

TEHRAN, Jan. 06 (MNA) – The Iranian president said that the enemies thought that they could destroy Iran's nuclear industry by assassinating scientists, but the country's progress does not stop with terror.

TEHRAN, Jan. 06 (MNA) – The Iranian president said that the enemies thought that they could destroy Iran's nuclear industry by assassinating scientists, but the country's progress does not stop with terror.

In a public meeting with the people of Zanjan on Saturday, Ebrahim Raeisi pointed out that it has been more than 40 years since Imam Khomeini (RA) announced that the priority of the Islamic world is the issue of Palestine, adding that sticking to the strict stance provoked the hostility of Iran enemies, but Iran's position of the right of Palestine has become clear to the world.

He called the oppressed Palestinians as powerful, adding that the fake Zionist regime which is supported by global Arrogance must be destroyed.

The President noted that insisting on the rights of Palestinians led to the animosity towards Iranian nation, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its Quds Force commander Manjor General Qassem Soleimani.

The enemy imposed sanctions, threats, economic blockades and military attacks in the past 40 years, but the Iranian nation that wants freedom and independence won the war of wills, Raeisi said.

He continued that despite the threats and sanctions, Iran made progress and proved itself as an advanced and technological country.

Honoring the memory of Martyr Majid Shahriaria, Iranian nuclear scientist from Zanjan, the president stated that many industries in Iran, including the nuclear industry have become indigenous, while the enemies thought that they could destroy this industry by assassinating scientists.

Iran intended to use nuclear technology in fields such as producing medicine, he said, stressing that Iran's progress does not stop with terror and assassination.

Iran arrests 11 in Kerman blast, mourners demand revenge - state TV

Meanwhile, US intelligence confirmed that the Afghanistan branch of ISIS was behind the attack, Reuters reported
Iranian authorities said on Friday that security forces had arrested 11 people suspected of involvement in two bomb blasts that killed more than 80 people at a memorial to slain Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander Qassem Soleimani.
Iran's Intelligence Ministry said in a statement that security forces detained two people in Kerman for supporting two suicide bombers and nine others in other parts of Iran on suspicion of involvement in the incident. The Islamic State (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the attack in Kerman, southeastern Iran, on Wednesday, a US intelligence source confirmed to Reuters.
Communications intercepts collected by the United States confirmed that the Afghanistan-based branch of Islamic State carried out the twin bombings, two sources familiar with the intelligence told Reuters on Friday.
Both sources said there was a communication breakdown between intelligence sources, without elaborating. Barriers not reported prior to collection.
The bombings were the deadliest in Iran since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
As the victims were buried on Friday, mourners wept over their coffins and crowds chanted: "Revenge, revenge," state TV showed.
The Intelligence Ministry said its agents seized explosive devices and raw materials, explosive vests, remote-control devices, detonators and thousands of pellets used in explosive vests. It said the suicide bomber was identified as a Tajik national.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) commander vowed to reach out to "the enemy" on Saturday as tensions rose along key shipping routes where Tehran's allies have attacked ships.

"Today, we are facing an all-out war with the enemy," Guard Commander Hossein Salami said at a ceremony in the southern Gulf port city of Bandar Abbas, where the IRGC's navy unveiled a new ship named "Abu Mahdi" and 100 missiles. Launchersalami did not name the enemy, but the statement came as 22 countries agreed to take part in a US-led coalition to protect commercial vessels in the Red Sea from attacks by Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi movement.

Many major shipping companies have switched to the longer and more expensive route around Africa's Cape of Good Hope, which handles about 12% of world trade, instead of going through the Suez Canal.

Additionally, UK Finance Minister Jeremy Hunt said on Saturday that Houthi hostilities in the Red Sea could affect the British economy.

"We have to protect our national interests wherever they extend," Salami said in a televised address. "It would be detrimental to get the enemy close and halfway away. They should stay away from this area."

The Guards Navy, he said, had made "a brilliant leap in its offensive and defensive power" to challenge the world's naval power. According to Iranian media, Iran's Alborz warship entered the Red Sea earlier this month through a safe shipping route.
